“Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.” — Helen Keller
How are you?
Part of what I love about Nova Scotia is how people help each other—whether it’s stacking firewood ahead of the snow, dropping off a meal to someone who is sick, or meeting friends for a walk. Kindness and company is usually never too far away. It’s the kind of place where someone will stop their car to let you cross the street, even if you’re not sure you want to cross over!
As humans, we thrive in connection. We are meant to be in community—to share our stories, our struggles, and our joys. It is with this spirit that I host these circles for people to gather: a place where we can move, journal, process, and laugh. A place where we can fully be ourselves—without judgment or the need to be “perfect.” A place where we share our collective wisdom, lift each other up, and remind one another of who and what we truly are.
While it’s easy to celebrate the warmth of community and togetherness, I also recognize that many people feel the weight of loneliness. Whether it’s the quiet of a home, the distance between friends, or the challenge of navigating life alone, loneliness is a reality for many. Even in these moments, though, reaching out can make all the difference. We are all connected, even in solitude. A simple text, a phone call, or simply asking someone how they’re doing—small gestures of connection can break the silence and remind us that we are seen and valued.
We are all navigating life’s twists and turns, but together, we can create a sense of belonging, understanding, and support that makes all the difference.

“Through meditation we can train our minds in such a way that negative qualities are abandoned and positive qualities are generated and enhanced. — Dalai Lama
The gathering is open to all and will include a gentle grounding and stabilising yoga practice, Himalayan Breathwork & a meditation, so you can anchor you back to yourself. It will be a chance to work with the breath and body to cultivate more steadiness & calm, leaving you with a sense of ease & joy as you arise from winter.
There will also be time for individual reflection, as well as a chance to practice listening and being together in a circle. This is an opportunity to get clear on what you want to release and let go of and what you want to bring forward as we move into a more active and enlivening time of year.

| “The Summer Day” by Mary Oliver Who made the world? Who made the swan, and the black bear? Who made the grasshopper? This grasshopper, I mean— the one who has flung herself out of the grass, the one who is eating sugar out of my hand, who is moving her jaws parsing the sunlight, who is gazing around with her enormous and complicated eyes. Now she lifts her pale forearms and thoroughly washes her face. Now she snaps her wings open, and floats away. I don’t know exactly what a prayer is. I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass, how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields, which is what I have been doing all day. Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? |
