What’s Whispering Beneath the Noise?

Dear Friend

Lately I’ve been leaning into the quieter frequencies of life – those subtle nudges, coincidences, and signs that seem to arrive when we finally slow down enough to notice.

Whether you call it the universe, your higher self, or simply your connection to the larger web of life, this guidance is always there. The challenge isn’t whether it’s speaking – it’s whether we’re quiet and courageous enough to listen.

In Tantra, this is called Kavi – the capacity to hear the whispering wisdom beneath the noise.

Listening inward, small gifts, and circles of care

“This experience gave me permission to slow down and truly listen – to my body, spirit, and inner truth. In a world that pulls me in a thousand directions, Sally’s gentle guidance and soulful questions created a space where I could return to myself.

Through the deeply restorative practice of Yoga Nidra and the presence of a compassionate community, I reconnected with parts of myself I hadn’t touched in a long time. I found strength in vulnerability, courage in stillness, and delight in simply being. I’m leaving with a deeper sense of belonging and clarity about my next step. It was a gift I didn’t know I needed – and one I’ll carry forward.”

The Power of Community – 2025 April Newsletter

“Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.”

How are you? Part of what I love about Nova Scotia is how people help each other—whether it’s stacking firewood ahead of the snow, dropping off a meal to someone who is sick, or meeting friends for a walk. Kindness and company is usually never too far away. It’s the kind of place where someone will stop their car to let you cross the street, even if you’re not sure you want to cross over!

As humans, we thrive in connection. We are meant to be in community—to share our stories, our struggles, and our joys. It is with this spirit that I host these circles for people to gather: a place where we can move, journal, process, and laugh.

"When we master our energy, we reclaim our power. We stop being pulled by old stories and start writing new ones.” @the.sattva.life How are you? There is no doubt that these times are challenging. Many of you are feeling tired, overwhelmed and in need of a supportive community and some self-care in order to stay aligned, inspired and resilient. Let's get together to practice and share. The theme for this practice is around exploring inner alignment and how we can nurture this feeling of peace, of calm.. of wholeness regardless of what is going on in the outer world. I know for me I need daily practices like meditation to stay connected to that wise, deeper part of myself. I know that when I am working too hard and not taking time to pause, I often feel burnt out and disconnected from myself. I know that when I get still and listen, that inner wisdom is always reassuring me, always kind.. When I connect with that more spacious, loving side of myself, I often feel encouraged to keep going, to keep putting more of my authentic self into the world. There’s also a purifying Himalayan breathwork practice and beautiful heart centered meditation to complete the yoga practice, along with some reflection prompts for you and a poem.

How are You?

The world has been so heavy lately, so let me share a story to lighten your heart –

I love birds. Bird geek. Not an expert like my partner mind you, just a lover of them and I was delighted when a cardinal appeared for me during a dark day recently and so I asked for more of them – an experiment in signage, so to speak.
