How are you?
I’m thinking of you all, and all that you are holding in your hearts, all that you love and all that you are being brave about.
Keeping ourselves nourished and regulated has never been more important in these changing times.
Community has never been more important.
Checking in with ourselves, listening to our hearts and getting familiar with ourselves as our own best friend, mentor & guide has never more essential.
Remembering what it is that lights up our hearts & keeping making space for it, in spite of the odds…
& that is why I’m writing to you to share some of this falls offerings…

Welcome you to a Courage & Renewal and Yoga Nidra
Mini Retreat
Heart Centered Practices for Healing and Connection
Location: Broad Cove Community Hall (7147 NS-331, Mill Village, NS B0J 2H0) (link to Google map)
Date and Time: Saturday, November 18, 2023 (1:00pm – 5:30pm) with an optional Potluck Supper to follow
We live in challenging and complex times, where technology enables us to be hyper-connected to our work and to one another at all hours of the day, and where loneliness exists as a real health epidemic. At the same time, we know beauty, joy, and wonder also exist, because we’ve experienced it. Our hearts are ever-holding the tension of what author and activist Parker J. Palmer refers to as, “harsh realities” and “real-life possibilities”.
Sally Steele and Tara Reynolds are Courage & Renewal Facilitators located on Nova Scotia’s Southern Shore. Sally and Tara warmly invite you to experience a mini-retreat with a spacious pace and rhythm, on Saturday, November 18th, 2023 at the Broad Cove Community Hall. This event will include Yoga Nidra practices combined with Courage & Renewal approaches– to help turn down the volume and velocity of the outside world, and to amplify and attune to your own wise heart. Autumn is the perfect opportunity to slow the cadence of our turbulent lives and remember how to connect with our true inner knowing. Join us for an afternoon 1:00 pm-5:30 pm where you will:
- Experience a trustworthy space where there is plenty of time for individual reflection, as well as generous listening & sharing
- Engage with Yoga Nidra Practices for accessing the Heart’s wisdom;
- Connect with your authentic self in community;
- Enjoy the rare gift of time for rest and renewal;
- Savour food, land, and spaciousness
We hope participants leave this mini-retreat with a deeper sense of their own wholeness, an increased capacity to let go of “perfection”, and with tangible skills to help integrate the broken and beautiful parts of one’s self, as pathways to healing, hope and joy.
This event will be limited to 20 people.
Please RSVP on the events page. We’d love to see you there!

“If we truly loved ourselves, we’d never harm another. That is a truly revolutionary, celebratory mode of self-care.”
– Sharon Salzberg
