“You start where you are. Not where you wish you were. The work begins right here.”
— Judith Hanson Lasater
Dear Sacred Circles Community,
At solstice, the light lingers. The days stretch long, and we’re reminded: this is a threshold. A turning point. Not a time to rush ahead, but to pause, receive, and attune.
What if we let energy lead?
Before the to-do list, before the story we tell ourselves, there’s the deeper layer: how we’re actually feeling in our bodies. That’s where the real information lives. And that’s where we start.
Lately, we’ve been coming back to simple practices that help us tune in—gentle movement, breath, hands-on care, rest. The kind of presence that doesn’t force, but feels. It’s a reminder that supporting our nervous system isn’t something extra—it’s essential.
You don’t need everything to be perfect to feel good in your body. You can begin right where you are.
And you don’t have to do it alone.
Supportive companions—like breath, reflection, community, and ritual—help us co-regulate, process, and re-story experiences that were once held in isolation. Letting your body speak is powerful, but even more so when it’s met with presence and care.

Upcoming Event: Return to the Heart
In collaboration with Kaitlyn Sears Yoga
The heart is more than a feeling. It’s where our various intelligences meet—emotional, intuitive, physical, spiritual. It’s the place where our soul and our everyday, finite self find common ground.
When we slow down enough to listen there, we often find clarity, compassion, and a sense of being deeply rooted in who we really are.
This August, we’ll gather for a heart-focused morning retreat with movement, reflection, and time by the sea.
Saturday, August 2 | 10 AM – 1 PM
Broad Cove Hall, Nova Scotia
Includes a walk and talk by the ocean, gentle yoga, and a summer circle
Quick Practice: What’s Your Energy Saying?
Take a moment to pause. Place your hand on your heart.
Ask: What kind of energy am I moving from today—tension, calm, exhaustion, hope?
Just notice. You don’t need to change it. Awareness is enough.
With care,
Sally Steele

It was special to spend an afternoon with like minded women around a particular topic, especially one that we don’t often spend a lot of time talking about. It filled my heart and the ideas have stuck with my in the weeks after. -Ashton
