Signs of Delight

How are You?

The world has been so heavy lately, so let me share a story to lighten your heart –

I love birds. Bird geek. Not an expert like my partner mind you, just a lover of them and I was delighted when a cardinal appeared for me during a dark day recently and so I asked for more of them – an experiment in signage, so to speak. I love the idea that through all the mess & the challenges of life there is a synchronicity & that we are somehow accompanied in magical and mysterious ways. I lean on the idea that we are watched over and cared for.

So I put the proverbial word out and lo and behold, I’m now finding more cardinals, in often times strange and unexpected places. What a delight! And then after the last community connection circle (one of the most personally nourishing and beautiful circles yet), I walked into my backyard right afterwards and I was amazed to see three bald headed eagles circling!

Right in my yard.
More grace, more serendipity.

Morgan Harper Nichols writes, “these kinds of details may seem unimportant, but they are subtle yet overlooked elements that gently prepare you for the journey ahead because they can help reveal clarity and connections that you might not have noticed before. Embrace them when how you can… Right here, you are free to reflect on even the smallest moments and draw lessons from them. Process and prepare at a mindful place.”

She offers these prompts:
• What small things have been helping you in ways you didn’t expect?
• What seemingly insignificant moments have been offering clarity?

Whatever form they come in, may signs grace your door and provide some magic and reassurance.

Whatever your orientation and beliefs about the universe, all is welcomed. This life is indeed a wonderful experiment.

Community Connection Virtual Circles
Saturday January 18th & February 8, 2025
10 – 11:30am Atlantic (both dates)

Join Courage & Renewal Facilitator and Yoga teacher Sally Steele for a Community Connection virtual circle. These will happen about once a month, so we can build a steady sense of support & community together. There will be nourishing practices including a short meditation and/or Yoga Nidra, as well as time to practice listening and being together in a circle. Sometimes we do some gentle movement as well.
Let’s gather together to pause, breathe, lift each other up, share our stories while we nourish and align ourselves. $18 is the suggested price, but no one will be turned away due to cost.
These virtual circles will be designed to support you through the times that we are living in, giving you a chance to reflect, recharge and connect.

What to bring:
• Journal and pen
• Yoga mat, as we will do some gentle movement from time to time
• Something to sit on – a meditation cushion, bolster or a chair if you prefer
• Blankets and bolsters and pillows in case we do some yoga Nidra (relaxation and guided meditation technique) and you want to lie down and get cozy.
These virtual circles will be designed to support you through the times that we are living in, giving you a chance to reflect, recharge and be with friends.

“I loved today’s circle! I can’t wait until the next one! Thank you Sally!” – Kristy B, retreat participant
