Sacred Circles – Survey

The goal with Sacred Circles is to nurture supportive communities of reflection and practice to help people come alive with a renewed sense of purpose, build trustworthy relationships, and cultivate the courage to rise to today’s challenges, making a difference within themselves and their communities.

To do this well, I would love to get some input from you on how these spaces could best serve you. I’d love to know the times that work best for you, the topics you are interested in, some of the areas where you are finding challenges in your life, so I can offer what is of the highest service.

This survey only takes a couple of minutes to complete and a lovely little gift will be randomly given to one of the participants.

Super excited to have collaborated with my friends and colleagues at Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute a non-profit co-operative with a mandate to promote, conserve and sustain biodiversity in Kespukwitk (southwestern Nova Scotia). We now have a $10,000 from the Joan Feynman Climate Action Grant received through Rural Communities Foundation of NS and will be holding a 3 day event @merseychalets with my mentor Brian Braganza of @tandemtruths.

Looking forward to #inthequietinthedark - an inspiring film about our love of nature and the determination of Donna Crossland and others to save the hemlock trees.

Circle afterwards 230-4pm nscc Bridgewater. Link in bio.

Hope to see you there!

In the meantime, here is a poem that will give you some medicine for your morning…

the most sacred treasures from creation are void of name
they come shaped and we make use of them
of medicines
of landscapes
of shared time

if we take this circle and smudge
the vow of trust
give each other the precious gift
of time and space
then together we allow each other to heal

close your eyes brothers
sing it out
and let that be medicine to walk away with
close your eyes sisters
listen to each other’s stories
and let that be medicine to walk away with

pass the stick and smudge again
together we will pray
up in smoke is our sorrow and sense of defeat
leaving us lighter
awakened
so that we return to our labour
let no one keep us down
for this work is that which will carry our grandchildren
onward

Good morning loves. Here is a lovely Sunday invitation… Create some space and ask yourself: “what do I need to know today?”
It might make it easier to slow down, get still, so u can Listen to what comes forward.

You might want to journal afterwards..

This is what came through for me today:
It’s all working out.
Hold any difficult thoughts in spacious loving awareness.
Trust in your gifts and who you ARE.
And no matter what what outside world is doing…
Remember that you belong.

Sending you all so much love xox

I love this poem by Morgan Farley & I thought of it when I jumped in the lake this morning…. And I thought of all of you, and what you might be holding…

I’ve been going through a period of deep inner work and reflection, and excited to say there is lots of wonderful creativity now coming out of it and I will soon be putting events out into the world again..

and I’m ready for it!

Pencil in November 18th for the next in-person event! More details to come..

In ther meantime, here is a possible reflection for you today-

When you clear a space and stand with your hands empty, what soul story wants to be told?

Heres to clearing spaces, emptying our hands and listening.

Sending you all so much love xoxo #dailypoetry #sacrecirclesyoga #motivation #selfcare #littlebylittle #slowingdown #lovesimplicity #dailypractise

Hi lovelies!

This is the invitation for you today – what do you need to do for yourself in order to be able to show up with presence and an ease that gives you more grace? More joy?

I know that my daily meditation practice in the morning can really shift everything and help me find that setpoint of calm. I know I also need to slow down abit, especially when I feel like I need to be faster and more efficient… otherwise, my nervous system gets overwhelmed. I also know that wholeness is the goal, not perfection..

Does this resonate with anyone?

It’s different for everyone, but if we can seek to also meet our own needs, as well as what the world is asking of us, it can invite in more ease and grace and joy..

Hope you’re all enjoying your summer and soaking up as many of these lovely days as you can.. sending you love..

“Don’t try to change your whole life, just try to change one part of it..
That change will ripple out and eventually change everything.”
@newhappyco

I find this quite quite soothing given my ever curious (and usually very motivated) mind.

There’s so many projects that I want to get off the ground, but sometimes I just have to consolidate.

Being kind to myself & knowing that changing one aspect is sometimes plenty.

How are you relating to any changes you want to make?

Sending you all lots of love xox

Ps mom and I have been enjoying watching the hummingbirds at the window, so I thought I would share this beautiful photo that I found… I love their movement and their never ending curiosity 💕

I take care of myself
like I would take care
of a garden.
I water it with love
and give it sunlight
and fresh air.
I weed out the bad thoughts
that try to choke out the good.
I prune back the branches
that are no longer needed.
And I plant new seeds
of hope and possibility.
I take care of myself
because I know
that I am worth it.
- Rupi Kaur, "Self-Care"

This time of year can be a really wonderful opportunity to take time out to rest and care for yourself.

I know i have to be really intentional about carving out rest time and allowing space for the integration of everything life is offering me.

Here are some prompts for you to consider:

When was the last time you felt like you had a solid rest?

How can you build in downtime into your weekly and monthly, and quarterly calendar? What might that look like?

Sending you all lots of love 💕
